Love open source? Want to help make the WPGraphQL ecosystem better? What if there was a way to amplify the impact of your contributions?

For the month of April May, AxePress Development is running a WPGraphQL Spring Cleaning campaign, with the goal of improving the WPGraphQL plugins we develop. And to show you how much we appreciate your help, we are offering to donate our time to any other open-source WPGraphQL project in the ecosystem for every qualifying issue or pull request you submit to one of our repositories!

All you need to do is open a PR or Issue, and then fill out this form with your details and what you want us to work on in recognition of your contribution. For every validated Issue, we'll donate 15 minutes of development time, and 30 minutes for every approved PR!

But that's not all! You can also choose to join our leaderboard, where we'll show off your contributions and impact.

This initiative is a win-win for everyone. You get to contribute to open source, make a difference in the WPGraphQL ecosystem, and have your efforts be returned in kind. We get to work on something that matters to you and improve the quality of our plugins. And the Headless WordPress community gets to enjoy our collaboration and innovation.

  • Here's the specific terms for this initiative you should be aware of and follow:

    • This initiative runs until April May 31st, 2023, at 23:59PM EST. While we welcome your contributions year round, submissions after this time will not be eligible to a matching contribution.
    • To qualify, you must submit an issue or PR to one of the participating repositories. It must be relevant, constructive, and follow the repository guidelines.
    • We will review your submission and let you know by email within 7 days if it qualifies or not. Qualifying issues and PRs are those validated approved by the repository maintainers for work/merge at their sole digression.
    • For every approved GitHub issue, we will donate 15 minutes of time
    • Once your submission is approved, we'll start working on the feature or project you picked, and let you know once we're done. If we can't work on the project you picked (e.g. the project maintainer isn't open to contributions), we'll work with you to find an alternative. We will donate 15 minutes of contributor time for every approved GitHub issue, and 30 minutes for every approved PR.
    • You can join the leaderboard on our website, where we will show your name, Twitter handle, website, and contribution and impact. If you join, you must give us a valid name, Twitter handle and website. We won’t show any website that is inappropriate, offensive or illegal. We will email you to find another website if this is the case.
    • We respect your privacy and won't share your personal information with anyone else without your permission, and will only use it for the explicit purposes described in this initiative
    • We're not responsible for any technical issues, errors, or delays that might affect your participation in this initiative, nor are we liable for any damages, losses, or injuries that may happen because of this initiative or our services
    • Participation in this initiative is nonbinding, and shall not be construed as a legal exchange of service or business agreement. Rather, we are solely recognizing your contributions to the WPGraphQL ecosystem, and amplifying their effect by donating a fixed amount of time.
